Buildcorp unveiled as Major Partner and Naming Rights Sponsor

Buildcorp has today been announced by Rugby Australia as the sponsor of next week’s 51st Australian Schools Rugby Championships and combined Junior Rugby Union Championship, held at the Sunshine Coast Stadium, 7-13 July 2025

AUSTRALIAN SCHOOLS RUGBY UNION

The Australian Schools Rugby Union (ASRU) will be conducting its 51st Australian School Rugby Championships next week, 7-13 July, at Sunshine Coast Stadium in Queensland. Over 400 schoolboys and schoolgirls (8 boys XVs U18 teams and 18 Girls Sevens teams in U16 & U18s) will compete for national titles and commence selection for the iconic Australian Schoolboys and Australian Schoolgirls Sevens teams.

The ASRU is delighted that in 2025 we will partner in a wonderful collaborative effort between Australian Schools Rugby Union, Rugby Australia, Buildcorp, and Sunshine Coast Council on an aligned pathway for both boys’ and girls’ development and selection to senior national teams. This collaborative event known as the Buildcorp Australian Schools and Junior Rugby Union Championships will be a key step in the pathway system and is a natural extension of our rugby partnerships.

The opportunity to play the Championships in this new format will generate for Australia’s best youth rugby players, male and female, the much sought after camaraderie, immersion in our rugby heritage and provide vital development outcomes.

 The ASRU is very grateful to Buildcorp for continuing their long support of youth rugby, Rugby Australia for working so significantly for the rugby youth of Australia and Sunshine Coast Council for their co-operation in enabling the Championships to occur is such a fine facility.

MEDIA RELEASE – BUILDCORP LAYING FOUNDATION FOR AUSTRALIA’S NEXT GENERATION OF RUGBY STARS

Buildcorp are laying the foundation for Australia’s next generation of Wallabies, Wallaroos and Sevens stars following a major sponsorship announcement.

Continuing their 34-year history of supporting Australian rugby union, Buildcorp have this week been unveiled as Rugby Australia’s Major Partner and Naming Rights Sponsor of the Buildcorp Australian Schools and Junior Rugby Union Championships.

This follows Buildcorp’s previous Rugby Australia partnerships, including the National Rugby Championship (NRC), Super W and Wallaroos, and comes ahead of next week’s Buildcorp Australian Schools and Junior Rugby Union Championships on the Sunshine Coast, in which 49 teams will compete for national XVs and 7s glory.

“We are excited to embark on the next step in our rugby journey,” Buildcorp Managing Director Tony Sukkar AM, said.

“The Buildcorp Australian Schools and Junior Rugby Union Championships is a key step in the pathway system and is a natural extension of our rugby partnerships.

“Over the years, it has been wonderful to see so many of the NRC alumni and Wallaroos continue their rugby journey in the professional environment, and we look forward to seeing many graduates of the Buildcorp Australian Schools and Junior Rugby Union Championships representing Teams in Gold for many years to come.”

Rugby Australia CEO Phil Waugh welcomed the unveiling of Buildcorp as the inaugural Major Partner and Naming Rights Sponsor for the Australian Schools and Junior Rugby Union Championships.
