Wilf Cohen
Wilf became a schools rugby supporter through the early sponsorship that Caltex gave in the early years.
He was a senior Executive of Caltex and, with the then CEO of Caltex—John Landells- supported schools rugby financially, logistically and with advice.
His work and support led to the formation of the Schools Rugby Foundation.
Wlif was a highly regarded rugby coach—assisting the ARU with the newly developing coaching courses that came in the late 1970s.
He was a member of and office bearer with the Rugby Barbarians Society.
As reported in the Navy News October 1971 the Wilf Cohen Invitational XV defeated the Wallaby Training XV 16-14 – which demonstrates his depth of rugby involvement.
